General
I’m a writer, an editor, and have worked in management. My stories have been published by a daily newspaper, weeklies, magazines and websites. I wrote and published seven nonfiction books, including six books for young adults, and “High Fit Home,” a HarperCollins book on the intersection of architecture and fitness; as well as managed various publishing projects.
For five years I worked at a daily newspaper as a staff writer and columnist. For 17 years, I worked at NAPS, a public relations features service, as a writer, editor, and eventually vice-president.
After that I worked as a writer, editor, and eventually president of KpopStarz, a k-pop and k-drama site which received 25 million unique monthly visits. As president I supervised editorial personnel, managed corporate communications, and promoted partnerships with other companies.
Currently, I cover k-media for Forbes.com and freelance for other publications. Lately, I’ve written about pop culture, the creative mind and the wonders of the Hudson Valley.

I’ve written about Korean drama and film for over a decade. I’m sometimes asked for my perspective, which I enjoy sharing with the media and fellow fans. Here are some of the ways I interacted:

- I discussed Korean dramas on three KCON panels, 2015, 2016, and 2017.
- Was interviewed by Quartz media for an article on the diverse appeal of k-pop.
- Was interviewed for an AP story on the popularity of Korean dramas.
- Contributed to an MBC News segment on the U.S. popularity of ‘Parasite.’

Blogged for Patch.com, OddnessWeirdness.com, KDramaStars.com. Share my drama blogs and stories on the That Only Happens In K-Dramas FB page.
